More Fun With Wood
Several months ago I rescued a whole bunch of quartersawn oak flooring from a tear-down house I learned of via Craigslist (Yeah, Craigslist!).
More recently, Mrs. ‘Mouse picked up three nice, simple lithographs of California landmarks. She asked me to make some picture frames for them.
The result… after many ‘mouse-hours over several weeks of shop work which used nearly ever tool in the shop: planer, chop saw, table saw, router, clamps, sander, etc.
Now I just need to add some hangers and find a place for them.
jealous! I lack the fortitute to work with oak.
Posted by molly on 02/04 at 07:35 AMIt never fails to amaze me, the things you can make from Other Things.
(Lloyd has been cruising the online real estate ads and has been making noise about acquiring a $3,000 fixer-upper in Pittsburgh. ["We could buy a house and pay for it in full with a credit card!"] I may be giving you a call—for your carpentry prowess, not for legal advice. ;)
