Are you passionate?

  1. (faints)

Seriously, that flower is a beauty.  How soon will the fruit arrive?

Have we already had the food-nerd discussion about why passion flowers (and passionfruit) are so named?

  2. Oh, fine.  I step away from the blog for a few days and you start posting like mad on yours.  It’s difficult to keep up with you, ‘mouse.

Amazing photography, lovely flower, and you.  Good way to start my day.

  3. Now that I’m thinking about it, I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen a passionflower up close in real life.  Do the little fringy things at the ends of the petals part of the larger petals, small tiny petals all unto themselves, or something that goes all the way back towards the center of the flower, connecting there?

  5. I’ll try to shoot some other angles—staying back a safe distance.  I didn’t previously realize that Mother Nature had committees, but I’m pretty certain that this flower was designed by committee.

  6. Of course it was all designed by committee.  Apparently you are unaware that the word God is actually an acronym for Groups officiating Disorder.  I believe it was originally going called Groups officiating the heavens, but of course, no one wanted everyone praying to Goth.

  10. Hey, Kimberly, how come your passion is different from my passion?  Yours looks so much more… under control.

  11. I was thinking that yours looks much more… hairy.

  12. A lot of people have told me that over the years.
